Welcome and thanks for stopping by. This site, like me, is a work in progress. Viewing photos is pretty easy. Scroll down and there are a number of galleries which get updated frequently. There are usually new photos to view at least once per week. While you're here, you can view photos, purchase prints and gifts,

A little bit about me - I'm 54 years old or young, depending on the day. I retired from a career in the Marines in 1991. I am the proud father of two wonderful children who have chosen to serve this great nation by serving in the military. My son Michael served in the Marines and did 3 tours in Iraq. My daughter Elizabeth currently serves in the Navy in Norfolk VA.
My career in photography began in late fall of 2005. On a whim, I purchased a Canon 20D, a couple lenses, flash, tripod, HP 8750 printer, a new PC and a 19" monitor. I don't think I knew how to use any of it! LOL.
Through a difficult time in my life, God has shown me a new view of His beautiful world. No matter what decisions we make in our lives, God seems to never stop trying to get our attention - even though, at times, we may let go of His guiding hand. Through my struggles, I came to know Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior in the Fall of 2003. Along with my new knowledge of the love of Jesus Christ, came the longing and passion to know more about Him personally. I began to delve into the Bible, for the first time in my life, to find out how we are to help those in need and how to live life God's way. Today, I facilitate various studies for the divorced and assist them in learning how to recover from this unnecessary emotional disaster.
In Feb of 2006, I started taking long drives in the Fargo ND area. God and I had lots of long talks, lots of tears were shed, and ever so slowly, through God's grace, mercy, and healing, things in my life started to improve. And I was learning how to take photos as well. These photos represent a part of that journey of healing. I truly hope you enjoy what you see here. I'm always trying to improve my technique so feel free to comment. My photographs are taken in the wild or on the street. Many shots are taken through a rolled down window as birds and animals are so accustomed to seeing cars. Photoshop Elements 5.0 is used very lightly in my work as I prefer a natural look. There are some shots in which filters have been applied to make the photo look like a painting. Hopefully I've clearly identified all of those.
Again, thanks for stopping by and may God bless you.
