Not a great effort but it will do for now. Taken against a gray background and then converted to black. I'm sure there are settings for blending the edges better. I used the paint bucket tool and then the spot healing brush. Wow, my inexperience is showing. Comments? Be gentle! ;-)

Looks like I need to clean my equipment and my fleece background. Flash closeups show all kinds of dust and lint.

Straight from the camera. No PP except a crop. Use a 430 EX ( pointed directly at this flash) off to the left about 9', a lamp to the right about 5' and a 580 EX on the camera bounced off the ceiling. Seems to work a little better. Thoughts?

23 Jan 08. Indoor lighting, flash fired, still have glare. Discovered ghosts put dust all over my fleece when I was gone. GRRRRrrrrrrrr! This flash stuff looked so easy in the book! ;-)

22 Jan 08 - Flash photography is a weak spot and this is a pretty lame first effort. My indoor mini-studio consists of a fleece, a floor lamp and a table lamp. The small flash on the camera also fired so I think that's to blame for the glare. I need to break out the tripods and flashes. More to come!
